mBillionth Award celebrates mobile entrepreneurs on July 23rd

South Asia is bearing witness to the power of mobile devices to provide millions with smart and meaningful content and services. The mBillionth Award Gala and Events on Saturday, July 23rd, in New Delhi highlight mobile innovations, applications and contents from the region, thereby challenging social and economic deficits and enhancing mass inclusion, development and digital equity.

The Award recognizes outstanding innovations in 11 categories, covering topics from governance, business and education to social inclusion and health. You will meet more than 500 delegates, 200 Mobile and App Developers, leading companies like NOKIA, Vodafone, and VAS leaders like OnMobile and One97, along with hundreds of other stakeholders. The event features brilliant networking opportunities for Non-profits, developers, mobile operators, researchers, donors and anyone passionate about the topic, as well as an exhibition showcasing South Asia’s best mobile innovations, conferences and panel discussions on mobile and telecom issues. A cash prize, awarded by the Vodafone "Mobiles for Good" Initiative", will go to socially influential mobile projects. The event is organized by Osama Manzar, Grand Jury and Board Member of the WSA, and Founder and Director of the Digital Empowerment Foundation.
