mBillionth Award Grand Jury Meeting in Sri Lanka

WSA Mobile Content's regional chapter, mBillionth Award has just concluded an extremely successful Grand Jury for 2011. An initiative of Digital Empowerment Foundation, the Jury was conducted for three days in Colombo during June7-10, hosted by ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) , Sri Lanka. According Chairman of the mBillionth Award 2011, Mr. Osama Manzar, the jury was conducted with 18 grand Jury members from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India. The total number of nominations received from 8 south Asian countries were 185, and Jury selected 30 overall winners including Special Mentions. The glimpse of the jury could be seen at mBillionth Award. The final event with Award gala, and Winners conference would be hosted in Delhi on July 23rd, 2011. This year, the presenting sponsor of the mBillionth Award is Vodafone along with OnMobile as co-presenter.
