WSA-mobile: National nominations have started!

The national pre-selections for the first edition of the WSA-mobile have now officially started!

Based on the experience and processes of the World Summit Award since 2003, the pre-selections run through national experts in respective countries, the WSA Expert Panel, selected in an open nomination process every two years by the WSA Board of directors.  

In the next two moths national experts will be making a decision over which projects and apps get to be nominated to the global award as the national best 2009. Eight products (one per category) shall be nominated and their data entered into the WSA online database.  All proposed products will be evaluated by the WSA-mobile Grand Jury, which will make the selection on the five winners in each category.

It is the responsibility of the national expert to consult as widely as possible, to act transparently and fairly, and to ensure the integrity of national selection. National expert is the reference person for all interested parties in the country and is responsible for a smooth functioning of the national registration process and completing the nominations.

The only way to take part in the WSA-mobile global contest is to be nominated by the national expert. There is no open registration.
