Sergio Llano Aristizabal holds a degree in social communication and journalism from La Sabana University (Colombia). He has a master degree in information technologies management from Open University of Catalonia (Spain) and a master degree in communication in organizations from Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). At the same university is about to defend his doctoral thesis in political communication and culture under the research line of social impacts of information technology. Right now he is a full time professor and researcher at la Sabana Unviersity in Bogotá, Colombia. 

Their academic training include an extensive international experience in Argentina, Mexico, Israel, Spain, United States and Germany. He received a scolarship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the government of Israel and participated at the International Academic Program for scholars and Latin American researchers at Harvard University. He recently conducted a three-month internship at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, with a grant offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutsher Akademisher Austausch Dienst - DAAD).

He has been a pioneer in Colombia in the application and academic reflection about the use of information and communication technologies and new media in organizations. He has a experience of more that 20 years as corporate trainer, digital projects leader, speaker and consultant.  

Among other interests, he is also a professional musician focused on the revival of early music, specially in the perfomance of baroque music on period instruments. He also dedicates time to several hobbies and sports such as the puzzles, mountain biking and hiking.
